Application
1. Preparation
Ensure your hand and wrist are clean and dry. If the brace has adjustable straps, loosen them before putting it on. Identify the correct side (left or right hand) if the brace is not universal.
2. Inserting the Hand
Slide your thumb into the thumb opening first. Position your hand inside the brace, ensuring the wrist is properly aligned with the support. Your palm should rest comfortably, and fingers should remain free to move.
3. Adjusting the Wrist Straps
Wrap the wrist straps securely but not too tightly. Ensure the wrist is firmly supported but still allows proper circulation.
4. Securing the Thumb Strap
Adjust the thumb strap to provide support without restricting blood flow. The thumb should feel supported but not overly compressed.
5. Final Adjustments & Comfort Check
✅ Ensure the brace is snug but not too tight (check for numbness or tingling).
✅ Make sure the thumb is in a neutral position (not bending unnaturally).
✅ Adjust if necessary to prevent rubbing or discomfort.
